This is my Mother’s obituary, she passed only a couple of weeks ago.
Sally Patricia Robins
April 21, 2016 Sally Patricia Robins passed away at her home at the age of 77, with her sweet heart Billy Fred Robins by her side.
Sally was born November 22, 1939 in St John’s Michigan to Edward Allen Nichols and Shirley Colegrove Weatherby. When Sally was six years old her family moved to Artesia, California. Sally had a duck named “Donny” and a dog named “Honey.” Honey would always be waiting for her in the front yard when she came home from school.
Sally graduated from Artesia High School in 1957. She was a member of the Ways and Means club and FTA (Future Teachers of America) club. She attended Long Beach Community College in the fall the fall of “57, studying English.
Early in 1957 Sally met Billy in Southern California, and on January 29, 1958, after a year of dating, they eloped. On October 9th, 1976 Sally and Billy became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, then were Sealed in the Oakland CA Temple, Jan. 26, 1978.
Sally and Billy lived in the Santa Ana-Corona-Riverside, CA area between in 1958-1973, and her hobbies were ceramics and playing the organ. In 1973 They moved to Aurora, CO. She liked going camping and would watch Billy and the kids fish. Then in 1975 they moved to Puyallup, WA. After one more tour of duty to Riverside, CA they decided to retire in Ellensburg, WA in May of 1981. In 2002 they moved to Cle Elum, WA. In May of 2006 she traveled to Tasmania to visit her son Allen and his family. She didn’t like the plane ride because it was “long and uncomfortable”, but did enjoy seeing everyone. She made several trips to visit daughters Wendy in Puyallup and Jody in Utah.
Sally loved to read, sew, crochet, and knit, but her passion was Genealogy. She was very particular with family research, and was a member of the Kittitas Valley Genelogical Society. Later she became a certified Veterans Service Officer with the Kittitas County Veterans Collation.
Sally was preceded in death by her father Edward Allen Nichols (1979), brother Lynn Edward Nichols (1984), mother Shirley Colegrove Weatherby Nichols McClough (1986), and Granddaughter Calista Rene’ Jones Fowkes (2009)(Ben).
Sally is survived by her sweetheart Billy Fred Robins, daughters Jody Lyn Jones (John), Wendy Sue Robins (Rod Troeh), and son Allen Ovil Robins, ten grandchildren, Frank Edward Jones, Joseph “Joey” Levi Jones, Andrew William Jones (Alicia), Patrick “Pat” Ian Jones, Jasmine Robins,
Catlyn “Caty”Ann Robins Flinders (Kasen), Morgan Alexander Robins, Brittany Rose Robins, Gabriel Allen Robins, Niamh May Robins, Hezekiah Brian Robins, six great grandchildren, and grandson in law Benjamin Dale Fowkes (Amanda).
Sally’s favorite questions to the boys was always “hows your love life?” and to family, “you know I love you?”

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, Cle Elum Branch, 400 Columbia Ave, Cle Elum, WA. Wakes will held Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cascade Funeral Home, 201 N. Harris, Cle Elum, Wa. and on Friday prior to the funeral service from 10:00-10:40 a.m. at the Cle Elum Branch Chapel. Interment will be in the High Valley Cemetery, 2521 Robinson Canyon Rd., Ellensburg, WA.

Sad in a way that there is information that you don’t know about a person until they pass. The duck and dog was news to me. My mum wanted to be a teacher…….. OK . we will leave that to history and not say much. I never knew my grandmother’s middle name. It does not talk about my Mother’s hobbie / addiction to genealogy. What about the great grand children? Oh well……. Not my worry
