Being Trans is a Podcast designed to educate the listener to the realities of being Transgender. Our mission is to approach the topics in such a way that everyone can learn grow and find answers on all sides of the topic. Some of our conversations will be difficult to have. With that said the only way out of ignorance is through education.
What do you know about the Stages of Grief? Did you know that no matter who you are or what event is linked to Loss and Grief we all experience the same set of stages? It could be your Dog, Mum, or even your Phone it is always the same. How we respond to those stages makes a big difference in our mental health. But if your Stages of Grief involve someone that is in your life. It can affect how you navigate through these stages. As well as how they navigate through theirs. Let’s talk about it.

Todays show we talk about Self and knowing how it will impact your overall life. Plus how others will also see you as being Transgender.
We will be talking about online gaming and the positive impacts on the LGBT+ communities. As well as negative impacts on social behaviors within these communities.
Coming Out -Eek
Coming out I am continuing on from the blog post on www.aleanasjourney.com about “Coming out”. Join me for a different look into this wonderful event for all of the LGBT+ community. Please remember that it is always filled with a roller coaster of emotions. Spare a thought for the person that is telling you about what they have had in their shadows for so long and just love them for who they are. After all, whatever is in our shadows and is brought into the light only remains because it is good and needs to grow with love and compassion.
Coming out the sequel
This is a very special episode as I am joined by a special guest as we talk about Coming Out – The Sequel.
It is something that is as much a part of me as my children. A motto that has lasted and served me well even when I am not. Being Prepared it started with the Boy Scouts and I teach it with everything I do. My young children know it as well.
Well sorry, this one is late. Life can be such a rocky mountain at times. We are going into a place where most dare not go. There is always a warning about talking about Religion. What not to do it if you want to keep friends. But in saying that there somethings that do need to be said.

I am talking about a response I gave to an opinion about the Transgender community. Responding to comments about the Transgender Community can be very difficult. You need to reduce the issue that is brought up by the commenter with logic. Make your point with fact-based answers understanding that while you can lead the horse to water you can never force it to drink.
A beautiful community. Something wonderful took place this week that I was involved in. Then I felt like I was rolling my face on the keyboard for no other reason than to try for two days to explain Grieving and the five stages. This attempt was with people on Twitter and left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth over the whole thing. But I do understand that not everyone on Twitter is willing to be educated.
